Welcome to Passpartout Ristorante, Roma, located at Borgo Pio, 50, a captivating Italian eatery that delivers an authentic taste of Italy in the heart of Rome. This charming establishment, nestled near the Vatican, beckons with its inviting atmosphere and delectable menu, where each dish tells a story of Italy's rich culinary heritage.
Upon stepping inside, you’re embraced by a cozy setting that exudes warmth and hospitality. The welcoming staff goes above and beyond to ensure your experience is memorable. Guests have often praised the attentive service, as highlighted by Florentina Stoica, who reveled in the kindness of the wait staff. The elegant balance of comfort and sophistication makes Passpartout a perfect spot for both a casual lunch and a refined dinner.
The menu features a delightful array of classic Italian dishes, each crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The cacio e pepe is a must-try, celebrated for its simplicity and flavor, while the mediterranean spaghetti satisfies with its satisfying yet straightforward profile. However, not every dish hits the mark; some patrons, like Erik Suwandy, have noted that certain plates can be bland, such as the fettuccine Alfredo, indicating a possible inconsistency in flavor across the menu.
What truly stands out at Passpartout, though, is the culinary triumph of the pork ribs. Diners have raved about their juicy tenderness, frequently cited as a highlight of the meal. And let’s not forget about the selection of aperitivi; enjoy a soft or premium drink alongside delectable bites crafted by the chef. With a reasonable price point of around €23, it’s an excellent choice for quality dining without breaking the bank.
This restaurant shines in its ability to provide a relaxed, unhurried dining experience. As emphasized by Elli H, the leisurely pace complements the enjoyment of each bite. With reviews like that of Marharyta, who celebrated her birthday at Passpartout, it’s clear that this establishment goes the extra mile to create lasting memories for its guests.
In conclusion, Passpartout Ristorante, Roma is a gem in Borgo Pio, offering a delightful culinary journey through traditional Italian flavors. Whether you're seeking extraordinary service, comforting dishes, or a cozy atmosphere, this ristorante checks all the boxes. Be sure to visit and discover what makes this spot a must-eat in Rome!

We decided to have lunch here while we were waiting for our tour. We were seated in the front area, as the indoor seating appeared to be reserved only. The staff were adequate. The Mediterranean spaghetti was acceptable. However, the fettuccine Alfredo was rather bland, seeming to lack sufficient flavors. The pork ribs with fries were the highlight, being both juicy and tender. The atmosphere is quite pleasant, especially when the weather is not excessively warm.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious and truly authentic, but what really made the difference was the service. We were served by a Romanian gentleman who was extremely kind and hospitable — it’s rare to meet someone so respectful and attentive these days. In the past, I’ve had less pleasant experiences with local Italian waiters, but this time everything was perfect. Highly recommend this place! ????????

Stumbled across this while leaving Vatican. The cacio e pepe was exactly as expected – simple, flavorful, and satisfying. At €13 plus a €2 service charge, the price felt fair. Like everywhere in Italy, don’t expect to be rushed – the relaxed pace is part of the experience.

Not sure why there are some less than complimentary reviews about this place but our experience was uniformly excellent. As we came just after the epiphany long weekend, we were the only diners in the restaurant that evening and greatly enjoyed the peace and quiet as well as the excellent food. The more innovative offerings which were lighter in taste and preparation were a fine segue from the heavier traditional Roman cuisine we had come to expect. Service was also efficient and accommodating. We will be back.

It was other place we got by chance during our five-days trip to Rome. After the Vatican Museums tour we were starving and decide to take far a bit from the busy area, then we found that restaurant. We ordered only a ceasar salad and one lasagne as a main course, and enjoyed breads and butter as starts. We think the foods were good at a prices were affordable considering the area (less them 10 min walking from Vaticiano).

Food isn’t necessarily best here but did have a decent meal here, pork chops were succulent and moist and tender, chips were chips nothing special and the dipping sauce was nice. Again nothing special but was decent food and could easily see this being served in a UK British pub and was cooked to a very good standard.
